Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians providing care to patients with acute and chronic pain are seeing increasing numbers of patients turning to cannabis-related products for analgesia. There has been strong evidence -based data to support this practice is currently lacking. With increased knowledge of cannabis use for analgesia, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians can play an increased role to educate this patient population on the potential harms and benefits of this practice.
