Activity Overview

Use of data science and artificial intelligence are becoming commonplace in healthcare. In this presentation, the audience will be introduced to key termininology in the data science ecosystem, be able to follow the data science project lifecycle with real-world examples, and discover how data science tools are developed to optimize clinical workflows. Pathways into a career in data science will be shared along with recommendations for learning data science skills that complement skills  pharmacy professionals already possess.

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

This activity focus on what data science is and how can it help your institution. A Data Scientist will explain the basics and lifecycle of data science through real-life examples. Also included is how a pharmacist can develop the knowledge and skillset to work in data science.

Once you have processed and claimed your CE credit, we encourage you to check your NABP eProfile account to verify your credits were transferred successfully before the ACPE 60-day deadline. It is an electronic direct-report process so your credits should appear in your account within a few minutes. After the 60 day deadline, ASHP will no longer be able to report your credit(s) for this activity.
