Activity Overview

Join ASHP and the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) to discuss the NAM Artificial Intelligence Code of Conduct (AICC), a framework intended to ensure the safe, ethical, and effective use of AI in health, healthcare, and biomedical science. This session will review why and how the Code of Conduct was developed, the AICC principles, the six “simple rules” of the Code Commitments, and where the Code is being applied across the nation. Participants will learn how this foundational framework serves as a starting point for development and ongoing testing, validation, and improvement of AI models, paving the way for trustworthy AI that advances health for all.
