Activity Overview

Tracking clinical outcomes is an important part of ensuring quality patient care within specialty pharmacy. The Outcomes and Value Specialty Pharmacy SAG has developed examples of clinical dashboards that can be utilized as a guide by health-system specialty pharmacies to demonstrate quality patient care. These dashboards focus on metrics that matter in patients with hepatitis C and multiple sclerosis. Learners will gain an understanding of available resources and be able to extrapolate knowledge into a variety of specialty disease states.

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.

This activity was planned to meet the educational needs of health-system specialty pharmacists.

After completing this activity, the learner should be able to…

  • Define types of clinical outcomes that can be tracked by health-system specialty pharmacies.
  • Identify potential clinical outcomes to track for hepatitis C virus and multiple sclerosis.
