Activity Overview
As specialty pharmacies increasingly evaluate, implement, or transition between clinical and operational platforms, thoughtful system design and workflow planning are critical to long-term success. This webinar will explore key design considerations when implementing or transitioning specialty pharmacy software, with a focus on balancing automation, documentation, accreditation requirements, and day-to-day operational realities. Presenters will walk through real-world examples of platform transitions and workflow decisions, highlighting what was implemented, what worked well, and what could be done differently in hindsight. Attendees will gain practical insights into vendor-agnostic decision-making, documentation strategies, and opportunities to leverage automation—such as questionnaires and refill workflows—to reduce manual effort and free clinical resources. The session will conclude with lessons learned to help pharmacy leaders and informatics teams make more informed, sustainable technology decisions as specialty pharmacy platforms continue to evolve
