Activity Overview
This podcast will focus on payor contracting strategies utilized in a variety of practice sites. Differences and commonalities between Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), academic health systems, community health systems, and other practice types will be highlighted, as well as differences between governmental and commercial payors.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
These activities were planned to meet the educational needs of pharmacists and administrators who are interested in proceeding with pharmacist direct contracting and billing.

State the stepwise approach to initiating and conducting payor discussions.
Identify common internal and external barriers to successful contracting and effective strategies to overcome them including opportunities for professional organizations to support members.
