Activity Overview
Expert-led discussions explore emerging topics and evolving practices in pharmacotherapy, supporting BCPS recertification and real-world clinical decision-making. This activity may be used to meet the BPS requirement for board-certified pharmacists to complete two hours of recertification credit annually.
Members and nonmembers may register to attend the live webinar at no cost and claim ACPE credit. Learners seeking to earn board recertification credit must purchase the online webinar; member and nonmember pricing applies.
This activity is part of the ASHP professional development program for BCPS recertification approved by BPS.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
These recertification activities are intended for board certified pharmacists seeking to update their knowledge and skills in pharmacotherapy pharmacy.
Board-Certified pharmacists are eligible to receive up to 1.0 hour of recertification credit for completing this activity. To earn recertification credit, learners must review the activity content and successfully complete the online assessment by the deadline.
ASHP provides an opportunity for remediation. Participants who are unsuccessful with the first assessment attempt may take a second assessment. The second assessment is included at no additional cost.
ASHP is approved by BPS as a provider for the recertification of BCPS.

Apply ASCVD risk assessment principles to guide decisions on lipid-lowering therapy in primary and secondary prevention.
Differentiate appropriate use of statin and nonstatin therapy based on patient-specific risk and LDL-C goals.
Develop evidence-based treatment plans for patients who require initiation, intensification, or modification of lipid- lowering therapy due to inadequate response, intolerance, cost, or adherence barriers.
Identify pharmacist-led strategies to improve dyslipidemia care, including medication optimization, monitoring, patient education, and collaborative practice interventions.
