Activity Overview
Pharmacy education and the broader workforce are experiencing rapid transformation driven by shifting enrollment patterns, evolving accreditation and licensure standards, technological disruption, and persistent workforce shortages. In 2024, the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Educators conducted the Crystal Ball 2 survey, gathering more than 3,400 responses from educators and practitioners to examine anticipated changes within five domains: enrollment, technology and AI integration, evolving education and licensure, preceptor development, and workforce trends. This webinar will present key findings, highlight emerging challenges, and translate survey insights into actionable recommendations for colleges and schools of pharmacy, preceptors, health-system leaders, and workforce planners. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of the forces shaping pharmacy’s educational and workforce future and learn strategies to position their institutions for success over the next five years.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
