Activity Overview
Exposure to envenomations and management may not be common for every emergency medicine or critical care pharmacist, depending on geographic practice setting. These exposures require prompt clinical evaluation and management as toxic bites can progress rapidy and cause significant morbidity, and occasionally death. In this activity, we will be reviewing the most common toxic envenomations, which include snakes, spiders, and scorpions.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
