Activity Overview
This educational session will introduce attendees to the fundamentals of cellular therapy and its unique implications for pharmacy practice. There is currently no standard or guideline that is cohesively related to the medication use process of these treatment modalities, yet pharmacies are being tasked with onboarding these medications at a challenging pace. Attendees will gain foundational knowledge on treatment modalities, handling precautions, contamination control, and key operational considerations for safely and effectively integrating cellular therapies into practice.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
This activityis planned to meet the educational needs of pharmacy team members involved with clinical and operational activities related to cellular therapy and sterile compounding.
