Activity Overview
Join experts for a webinar exploring the evolving landscape of diabetes management in the emergency department (ED). Despite updates to clinical guidelines, emerging therapies, and new medication classes, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) remains a leading cause of EDvisits. As hospitals face increased patient volumes and prolonged ED boarding, this session will highlight innovative DKA treatment strategies that may allow for safe outpatient management or reduced inpatient stays—helping to optimize bed availability and make the most of limited healthcare resources.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
This activity was planned to meet the educational needs of pharmacists who practice in the emergency department and encounter patients with suspected diabetic ketoacidosis.
