Asthma is a common chronic condition that requires thoughtful pharmacotherapy management, including considerations around medication selection, administration methods and frequency, combination therapy, cost, and the balance between maintenance and as-needed treatments. These complexities make asthma management an ideal area for pharmacist involvement. Despite updated guideline recommendations, many clinicians have yet to implement the latest therapeutic approaches. Because mild to moderate asthma is often managed in primary care settings, pharmacists are well-positioned to support the practical application of patient-centered therapies. By the end of this webinar, attendees will be equipped to enhance their engagement in asthma assessment, treatment, education, and ongoing monitoring.
