Activity Overview

Pharmacists providing care to patients exposed to poisons are faced with broad differential diagnoses and often do not have time to do extensive research before a clinical decision is required. As a result, a pharmacist may feel unprepared when they assess a patient or assess an order for appropriateness. With increased knowledge and the implementation of practice strategies, providers can confidently assess and recommend effective treatment for their patients experiencing toxic exposures
