Activity Overview
Artificial Intelligence (AI) isn't just for tech experts—it can be a practical tool for everyday academic tasks. In this interactive webinar, pharmacy faculty will explore how AI tools can be used to support teaching, service, and scholarship. Whether generating exam questions, streamlining recommendation letter writing, or jumpstarting grant proposals and research tasks, this session demonstrates how AI can help save time and reduce stress. Designed for faculty who may be curious but inexperienced with AI, the session will focus on real examples and how to craft effective inputs (prompt framework) that guide AI tools to produce relevant, usable content. No coding, no jargon—just practical guidance for busy educators.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
This activity was planned to meet the educational needs of faculty members who are curious about using artificial intelligence (AI) in their academic work but may have limited experience or feel apprehensive about learning new technology.
After completing this activity, the learner should be able to:
Describe how generative AI tools can be used to support teaching responsibilities, including the development and customization of instructional materials and assessments.
Identify AI-assisted strategies to draft and tailor letters of recommendation that align with students’ specific postgraduate goals and are personalized to highlight individual strengths.
Give examples of how AI can support scholarship activities by assisting with literature summaries, concept framing, and early-stage drafting.
