Activity Overview
Experts at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) discuss the intricacies and scope of suicide, including the risk factors and warning signs for suicide, recommendations for suicide prevention, and guidance on addressing suicidal crisis.This discussion includespotential applications within the pharmacy residency training environment. Learners will be guided to challenge and expand their awareness and knowledge of this leading cause of death and develop strategies for addressing suicide risk and prevention within their own institutions and residency training programs.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
This activity was planned to meet the educational needs of all members of the pharmacy workforce related to recognitionand prevention of suicide, with a special focus on awareness for those involved in pharmacy residency training.
