Activity Overview
Pharmacists are pivotal in disease prevention and health promotion by advocating and administering immunizations. Despite increased access of vaccines which can prevent diseases, complications, and death, many adults in the U.S. are not up to date on their immunizations. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) provide annual guidance on vaccine recommendations. This podcast will cover 2025 vaccine updates for pneumococcal, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), Hepatitis B, and Monkeypox virus (Mpox).
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
