Activity Overview

Pharmacists providing care to patients following toxicologic ingestions of medications and other substances are often relied upon for treatment and monitoring recommendations. Many pharmacists do not routinely care for patients following toxicologic ingestions of medications/other substances and are thus unfamiliar with clinical presentation of various toxidromes and ultimately management strategies. With increased knowledge and the implementation of practice strategies, pharmacists can recommend effective monitoring and treatment for patients following toxicologic ingestions of medications/other substances.
