Activity Overview
The COVID-19 pandemic introduced significant changes in healthcare, particularly in how technology enables remote collaboration. Healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, experienced shifts toward telecommunication and telehealth as essential tools for maintaining connections and continuity of care without physical presence. This webinar will define key concepts in telecommunication and telehealth as they apply to pharmacy practice. Experts will interpret survey data gathered from Kentucky pharmacists, focusing on perceptions of work-from-home (WFH) and telehealth in a variety of pharmacy settings. Participants will understand the potential implications of these technological advances for traditional workforce models in pharmacy, considering both current practices and emerging trends. This study, conducted in collaboration with the KSHP Pharmacy Practice Committee, provides a unique statewide perspective to inform the future of pharmacy workforce models.
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
This activity is meant to meet the educational needs of pharmacists and pharmacy managers involved in workforce planning and management, offering insights into evolving telecommunication and telehealth models in pharmacy practice.
