Activity Overview

Pharmacists play a vital role in recommending and administering vaccines to prevent diseases, disabilities, and death. Despite this, only about 25% of adults in the U.S. are up to date on recommended vaccines. With their expertise, pharmacists are well-positioned to improve vaccination rates and safeguard community health.

The CDC and ACIP provide annual updates to guide vaccination recommendations based on age and risk factors. This webinar is designed to help pharmacists and technicians stay informed about these guidelines, enabling them to identify, evaluate, and recommend vaccines tailored to patient needs. It will cover updates on flu, COVID-19, pneumonia, and RSV, highlight common vaccination errors and prevention strategies, and provide tools for addressing vaccine hesitancy. Additionally, it will offer resources for helping uninsured or underinsured patients access vaccinations.
