Activity Overview

The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) outlines standard procedures and compliance requirements for compounding. USP <800> describes the requirements for safe handling of hazardous drugs and sets the standards that apply to all settings in which hazardous drugs are used. These modules are intended to cover the specific core competencies and key elements outlined by USP that personnel involved in handing hazardous drugs should be trained on regularly.  

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.

Each individual activity module is intended for pharmacists and/or pharmacy technicians who wish to expand their knowledge and/or competency in handling hazardous drugs.
