Activity Overview

Have you been exploring opportunities to strengthen connections with patients and colleagues through more inclusive conversations? In this session, we will discuss strategies to foster effective communication with others as an approach to addressing healthcare disparity. Participants will learn and apply techniques they can incorporate immediately into their practice. You will leave prepared to facilitate more impactful and meaningful conversations with patients and colleagues.

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

This continuing pharmacy education activity is designed for all pharmacists, leaders, and technicians with roles in health-system specialty pharmacy practice.

After participating in this CPE activity, participants should be able to:

  • Define common terms related to fostering inclusive conversations with patients and colleagues.
  • Evaluate approaches to foster inclusive conversations with patients and colleagues.
  • Apply strategies to foster inclusive conversations with patients and colleagues.
