Overview

This educational activity identifies the challenges in dosing venous thromboembolism (VTE) prophylaxis in the obese patient population and dosing strategies with injectable agents for VTE prophylaxis in this population. Assessing the potential need for VTE prophylaxis beyond discharge in the medically ill will also be discussed.
