Activity Overview

Adequate self-assessment skills are a vital component for a successful residency experience as well as for the continuing professional development of pharmacists. While there is substantial literature within healthcare identifying the less than adequate number of practitioners who use self-assessment, there is little descriptive literature demonstrating how to promote the practice. Guidance is required to assist pharmacy learners in developing and honing this skill. This webinar will review the utility of self-assessment in pharmacy practice and discuss resources and techniques for residents and practitioners.

In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education’s Standards for Commercial Support and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education’s Standards for Commercial Support, ASHP requires that all individuals involved in the development of activity content disclose their relevant financial relationships. In keeping with this requirement, ASHP ask that all faculty, advisory board members, planning committee members, content development consultants, and staff complete a disclosure form for each program in which they are involved. Anyone who refuses to disclose relevant financial relationships must be disqualified from any involvement with a continuing pharmacy education activity.
